God has blessed Ontario with over 250,000 lakes, endless creeks and rivers and year round trails. The voice of the Lord is upon the water: the God of glory thundereth: the Lord is upon many waters. This is what "Psalm 29:3" tells me, so Street to Trail will take people out of the street's of Toronto on to trips to the wilderness and let the silence of God's voice, help people in ways only he can.
An Organization Street to Trail, that has a strong calling and appreciation of nature, honors to provide day hiking trips of graduating lengths and difficulty levels. Backpacking trips when people have taken training from Street to Trail. With this the organization will offer bike trips, canoe trips, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing trips in the same course of action.
This will take a lot of funding to offer these trips to people that have very little. Your membership and support to Street to Trail provides low cost trips for yourself and making trips available to others that can not afford it but need it the most and then Gods silent voice will be herd.
Street to Trail Past Events
November 17, 2001
In 1793 Yonge Street was a trail and on November 17, 2001 Street to
Trail has taken 6 people from Yonge Street to the trail. The Rouge Park
is one of the last natural trails and is similar to the Bruce, Ganaraska
and Oak Ridges Trails. We did 9 kilometers over 4.5 hours having lunch
on trail. Relationships formed and spiritual growth took place. Spirits
rose as a result of the view of the river and the abundance of trees. Things
have started! The people that went and even some that did not or could
not go want to know when the next trip will be made? The vision of Street
to Trail is to have a full program ready early spring 2002. Funding
is needed.
